About Us
Since 1979, ERW has been manufacturing and installing a wide range of timber home improvement products in properties across the North of England. A family run company, we pride ourselves on our extensive, premium range of high performance timber windows and doors designed and crafted in our high tech, purpose built manufacturing facility. In addition, our renovation division has particular expertise in property improvements in heritage and conservation areas, especially sash window refurbishment in listed buildings. Our dedicated management team is complemented by our highly skilled craftsmen and fully trained surveying and customer service specialists.
During the past 30 years and more, ERW has supplied and installed wood windows and doors to hundreds of homes across Teesside and the wider area of the North East of England. Our History
Our business was founded in 1979 as a manufacturer of timber window frames, based in Middlesbrough. With an ever increasing demand for our products, our business grew, and relocated in 1988 to our present site which includes a beautiful showroom. Throughout our history, we have been involved in many specialist projects where our passion for preserving architectural heritage and conserving the building landscape has come to fore. This in turn has helped us to develop the skills to advise customers aesthetically and legally on how to maintain and enhance their properties whilst remaining sympathetic to the traditional features and environment.
Our People
Our greatest achievement is in the development of the people who work to make our business a success. We are proud of our workforce, many of whom have been with us for over 15 years. Indeed some came to us straight from school and have never worked for anyone else. We believe in growing our own, and helping them flourish into highly skilled and motivated team members. We strive to create a safe environment for our employees and to promote continuous professional improvement of all our staff.
Our Products
Put simply, we're the timber window and door specialists. All products are manufactured from timber from sustainable forest sources. Made to measure to customers' exact requirement, our new high performance windows and doors include casements, sliding sashes, dual turns, and entrance, patio, sliding folding and french doors. Our refurbishment division renovates and refurbishes windows in sensitive environments.
