18th Centrury Grade II Listed Building in the village of Old Eston, near Middlesbrough in North Yorkshire fitted with specially designed Yorkshire Sliding windows glazed with High Performance Double glazed units containing Stadip Accoustic glass
This unique historic dwelling built in the 18th Century is situated very close to the main road and opposite a public house. The single glazed Yorkshire sliding windows were draughty and also the noise from the road and nearby public house was a big problem for the residents.
Working with the local planning department we designed a Yorkshire sliding window which was double glazed but replicated the original historic features and sections of the windows. Using Heritage Double glazed units with a special low sight line we were able to maintain the slim glazing bar detail critical to the Conservation Officer’s requirements.
Stadip Acoustic Glass was specified to reduce the sound from the road and neighbouring public house. The windows were factory glazed and decorated in a special colour finish to match the original windows.
