Since 1979, ERW Joinery have specialised in manufacturing and installing a wide range of timber home improvement products in properties across the North East of England. We have taken our experience and knowledge of timber to develop unique techniques for property improvements in heritage and conservation areas and after months of planning and preparation, we held a Conservation and Heritage Workshop at our premises on Skippers Lane for local Conservation Officers.
It's officially the beginning of September and we are starting the month with a bang by introducing you to our Commercial Manager Phillip Wall.

We have recently completed a very rewarding project working on the restoration of Greatham Community Centre in Hartlepool. The original building was founded in 1834, re-built in 1878 when it became a school and enlarged in 1928. It then went on to become a Community Centre in 1971 where it has turned into an established and well loved building within the area.

18th January 2013 This Victorian Residence in Normanby, Middlesbrough has been restored with New High Performance Vertical sliding Sash Windows and the internal Historic Vertical Shutters were exposed and completely refurbished after being hidden away for decades
21st August 2012 This grade 2 listed dwelling is in a prominent position in the High Street of Old Eston Village.The challenge was to provide both thermal and acoustic insulation whilst maintaining the historic features and character of this important building.

13th September 2010 ERW’s specialist renovation team began work today on a project to transform the historically sensitive Grade 2 listed Custom House in Middlesbrough into a state-of-the-art community centre for young people. The regeneration is part of the £270 million grant funded myplace initiative which aims to create world class community facilities for young people aged 8 to 19 across the country. With doors due to open in Summer 2011, this new myplace venue will house a performance and dance hall, chill out space, crèche, climbing wall, media studio, interactive library, music facilities, gym and a bowling alley. Outdoors, there will be a multi-use sports pitch, allotments and wildlife gardens.
